The Peterborough Drama Festival aims to promote speech and performance skills for all age groups in order to increase confidence, develop artistic expertise and to provide competition and cooperation amongst all keen students of the arts. Our professional adjudicators are experienced and well qualified and their aim is to inspire and educate, giving to students the benefit of their knowledge and enthusiasm.
When and Where
The Festival is held annually on the Friday & Saturday of the first weekend in March. It takes place at The Citadel. 1203 Bourges Boulevard Peterborough PE1 2AU.
Over 50 trophies are awarded for the different classes at the Festival and there are two special awards: the individual Victor Ludorum for the competitor who has won the most classes over a variety of disciplines and the Victor Ludorum (Schools) for the most successful school in the Festival.
As we are a self-funding organisation we rely on the generosity of our patrons to help with increasing running costs. If you would like to become a patron for just £5 please contact us on Peterborough 55340 or any member of the Committee.
If you would like to sponsor the Festival in any way please contact Mrs Susan Lawrence on Peterborough 380110 or any member of the Committee.
We are always grateful for volunteers to help with the running of the Festival. Duties include working alongside adjudicators in an administrative capacity, acting as stewards on doors or writing certificates. If you feel you could help for a morning, afternoon or evening session please contact Mrs Gill Warren on Peterborough 55340 or Mrs Pam Tedcastle on Peterborough 380510.
